Bordeaux SupérieurThe property down through history
The Château, built in the 16th century by a family from the nobility of Bordeaux, belonged during the French Revolution to the Young Ladies of Terrefort before passing into the hands of Count Lafaurie de Monbadon, by marriage.
As a peer of the realm, his active interventions facilitated the construction of the bridge at Cubzac by Gustave Eiffel.
Château de Terrefort has belonged to the Quancard family since 1891.

Situation
Situated 55km to the north-west of Bordeaux, Château de Terrefort-Quancard is located between the Côtes de Bourg and the Côtes de Fronsac. Overlooking the Dordogne, Château is perched on the highest point of the hillside of the town of Cubzac-les-Ponts.
The vines of the Château, straddling the famous 45th parallel, benefit from a moderately warm, humid climate, with masses of sunshine and mild winters.
