CHEVAL QUANCARD QUALITY
Quality demands down to the tiniest detail
Anxious to ensure a sustainable guarantee of the excellence of its wines, the CHEVAL QUANCARD Company has implemented a system of management through quality. In 2003, this approach resulted in the award of the British Retail Consortium (BRC) certification at the very highest level, a certification that has been reconfirmed each year since.
Total quality Cheval Quancard opted to apply for the British Retail Consortium (BRC) certification, which is not compulsory in France, to meet the demands of its Anglo-Saxon clientele. The aim of the approach was to craft wines which comply with all the requirements in terms of food safety in accordance with the regulations in force and with total respect of the environment.
Monitoring and traceability of production Within that framework, the company instigated monitoring indicators at various points together with a stringent quality control protocol of the product at every stage of production. All these controls serve to ensure constant quality for the products. The same stringent procedure is applied in the control of bought-in raw materials such as the bottles and corks. Each wine and all the packaging materials purchased by the company are covered by a meticulous, computerised traceability system enabling each bottle to be traced back to the producer or to the supplier if necessary.
Respect of the environment As part of its constant concern for the respect of the environment, Cheval Quancard treats all its effluents.
It is also particularly attentive to the control and mastery of energy and water consumption.
With Cheval Quancard, quality has pride of place. Constantly seeking to become ever more demanding, the company is currently working on new certifications. At the beginning of the year 2007 Cheval Quancard has been awarded a double organic certification as a wine processor and distributor, which enables it to age, bottle and market wines made from organic grapes.
