Who ?

CHEVAL QUANCARD is a historic, family-owned Bordeaux-based company founded in 1844. It is both a winegrower (13 Châteaux with nearly 200 hectares of vines) and a wine merchant.

What ?

Cheval Quancard’s latest creation, Marcel Q is a PGI Atlantique wine.

This Protected Geographical Indication created in 2006 is A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. Produced from exceptional terroirs in the South-West and Bordeaux region, PGI Atlantique reflects an open-minded approach, since it gives winegrowers the freedom to express their originality without the constraints of compulsory grape varieties.

Unusual bottle format (Burgundy bottle) / Contemporary, high-quality packaging 3 Cuvées / 3 colours:

MARCEL Q1 – a pale rosé with a crisp, mineral fruitiness.

MARCEL Q2 – an aromatic dry white with a lively, intense fruitiness.

MARCEL Q3 – a generous red with a full-bodied, well-rounded fruitiness.

MARCEL Q, why ?

MARCEL Q is a tribute to the third and fifth generations of the Quancard family who managed the company. These two generations were named Marcel (the label shows the fifth generation at the age of six). Our founders would have been proud of this original, slightly rebellious range, that does not follow the traditional AOC rules.

MARCEL Q also continues our well-known series of “first name” wines: CLÉMENCE, HORTENSE…

When ?

These are easy-to-drink wines, for lively occasions with friends and good times!

Enjoy as an aperitif, with some tasty appetizers, at lunchtime, on a terrace, at the bar…
